(RESEARCH) Assignment 40:Photography Software

I have thought of using Photoshop for our Ancillary pictures due to the knowledge and tools we already know how to use on photoshop. Plus, It makes it easier to import and export files from different sorces and you can import photoshop files into in design considering they're both from Adobe. It also benefits us using it because of the amount of tools that we can use on photoshop. We can adjust the level of brightness and the hue/saturation of the images to our liking. we can also change the images around. We can select different segments and change it so it is on a solid background or we can put it in a new background. Things like the stamp tool work for this as well. this enables us to use the tool and get arid of any flaws or imperfections that we do not want.

Improvements for draft 3:

·         Show some people in the swiping process but keep it short
·         Allow people to read ‘it’s a match’
·         To allow for easier texting, have them texting while walking – texting in draft 2 is too fast
·         More shots for meet up

·         Performance to start when story starts – Loop not too long.
·         The first selfie will be taken at the end of coffeeThis will then cut to the cork board, as they will pin up said selfie
·         Don’t try to make dining room look like a restaurant – Instead make it into a home cooked meal. Buy £10 meal for 2 from tesco
·         Use shallow focus in base track
·         Be happier in the base track
·         Need to shoot white screen base track from multiple angles
·         Use a cork board and plain calendar to set mood for ancillaries
-          These could be printed in black and white so we’re able to match with the digipak and poster.
-          Doodles and sketches need to be put up on the board, similar to that of the first draft.

·         End video with Netflix
·         Digipak in black & white and colour?
·         We could also use home video as an element, so they can take the selfies while they record?

MES
CAM SANC

Final Draft Planning:

Gaming
·         Have front angle
·         One close up behind them looking at the remotes.
·         She takes snapchat of me raging.
Dinner
·         Close up shot of candles getting lit.
·         Really fancy, then I bring out a pot noodle.
·         Close up of her face dropping.
·         Instead of a selfie, Instagram the pot noodle.
NYE
·         People standing
·         Close ups on things like drinks, smiles, etc
·         Group photo selfie (photo bomb)
·         Can now wear smart shirt
·         Could use zoomed arial shot of people standing.
Getting Ready
·         Use eye-line-match of hands swiping.
·         The angles while swiping need to change to be substantially different.
·         Stop. Smile. Eye-line-match. Smile. ‘It’s a match’. Close up of both faces.
·         Split screen needs to be a parallel of them doing the same thing.
·         Use camera as the mirror:
-          Close up of legs getting out of the shower.
-          Brushing teeth
-          Hair
-          Shaving & make-up
-          Changing costumes (3 serious & 3 funny) -  temporal ellipsis & and wipe transitions.

·         They’re gonna be texting other people while they’re on coffee, telling them about the other.
·         Establish with a two shot.

Ancillaries
·         Bleed into illustration
·         Use scenes from base tracks
·         Scenes by river
·         Bench with/without artist

v  No fast forward effect – use temporal ellipsis. Could use fade to black transitions. This creates a meaning for the audience.
v  Use match on action, more than one or two angles.
v  Shots are too long.
v  More inventive shots.
v  Use editing to try and match the pace of the song.
v  The texting is too fast.
v  Have shutter effect & flash for each picture, this would then go to a fade, then calendar as stated above.

(PLANNING) Assignment 39: Timelines

SHOT TYPES & LIGHTING DETAILS -- Laurie

(PLANNING) Assignment 38: Copyright clearance

(PLANNING) Assignment 37: Lyrics

Weekends in bed, no scramble eggs, or bacon
I just have time for you
Backs on the grass, heads in the clouds, we
Closed our eyes
Enjoy the view
We don't wanna hear
The real world passing by
Saying that we're crazy
We spend all our time lying side by side
Going nowhere, it's really something
Getting busy doing nothing
We spend all our time running for our lives
Going nowhere, it's really something
Getting busy, doing nothing.
No magazines or DVD's we both got
Better things to do
I'll hold your hand
Or shall we dance together
It's so hard to choose
Every time we hear
The whole world rushing by
I know that we're not crazy
We spend all our time lying side by side
Going nowhere, it's really something
Getting busy doing nothing
We spend all our time running for our lives
Going nowhere, it's really something
Getting busy, doing nothing
Should be working hard
Instead of lying here naked
Phone rings but I wont take it
'Cause you only get one life, only get one life
All our time lying side by side
Going nowhere, it's really something
Getting busy doing nothing
We spend all our time running for our lives
Going nowhere, it's really something
Getting busy, doing nothing
All our time, doing nothing
All our time, getting busy doing nothing
