(PRODUCTION) Assignment 30: Base Track Evaluation (Reflection)

Steven's Base Track Evaluation:

1. Explain what is crucial for an effective lip sync

Make sure that the lip sync matches the pronunciation of words so it doesn't look like it isn't the performer lip syncing badly. It would also require the performer not to move their head much so that the audience can see the performer singing. To also lip-sync away from the camera will not make it a professional lip sync.

2. Evaluate the level of challenge in your editing

With the frequent cutting to different locations, It helps show how we used the different locations well and still kept the lip sync going through all the different clips.

3. Name 1 reason why your video is strong

Our video is strong due to the different locations and the music video and having the lip sync match the pronunciation of the words.
4. Name 1 reason what you could have done to improve your video

Keeping the camera stable when doing dolly shots or tracking shots. keeping the camera steady shows professionalism and can make the audience focus on the performer closely than having the performer move position more than he needs to.

5. How will you apply the skills learned in this task to your music video?

Practicing different shots and Try and take various ways to stable the camera can also impact on how well the narrative for the story is shown.  We can also have the performer learn the lyrics of the song so they can match it to the beat and when the original artist pronounces the words.
