(PLANNING) Assignment 56: Rough Ancillary Sketches for Ancillary (Magazine Advert)

LAURIE ELLIS

There is an image of the artist looking at his album. This is to show the audience that this is his album. It is also

The 5-star rating at the bottom is to persuade the audience more to buy the album because a 5-star shows that the album is good.

Steven Hance:

Draft 2:

For the Ancillary, I wanted to stick with a cork board theme, However, I wanted to have some polaroid pictures so it would link with the Music video. And to link it with the Digipak, I wanted it to keep the cork board so the audience will know it it synergised together.

Final Draft:

I wanted to keep the location and the music video and the digipak all tied together by having the ancillary shoots shot by where we will be filming the base tracks. I also changed the positioning of the text and where it will go and so it can easily be read.

I also came up with an idea of using a brick wall to give the base track some texture to it instead of ti all being shot in close locations. It is similar to the one above however with a different location entirely. And with the positioning of the artist, I would have to move a few things around so it can be seen that it is matched with the base tracks and the digipak.
